Now that I am graduating college the list of things I could do next seems endless. As I transition out of school I feel like the world is my oyster. So why am I choosing the World Race to be that next step?

Well first, I feel called by God to do the World Race. I first became aware of this calling 4 years ago when I was on a missions trip in Panama. While there, a complete stranger came up to me and told me the God had a calling on my life for missions and that he would use me specifically in Latin America, Europe, and Africa. Flash forward several years and low and behold those three regions are exactly where the World Race is going to take me!

Secondly, I want to experience God through experiencing different places, cultures, and people. I believe that through seeing how big and beautiful the world is, comes a greater understanding of how big and beautiful our God is. I hope to experience more of who God is through seeing more of the world that he created.

And finally, I believe that the World Race will be an incredible opportunity to grow in my faith. To be very honest as excited as the World Race makes me, it also makes me a little nervous. The thought of leaving home and everyone I know and love is a little scary. But, I think that as we step out of our comfort zone we also step into greater dependency, reliance, and trust in God.

It is my hope that the World Race will be 11 months of stepping into my calling, experiencing God in new ways, and growing in my relationship with Him. I would love to invite you to be a part of this journey with me however God is calling you to be.

B 🙂
