Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my World Race blog! It still feels a little surreal that I am actually going on the race.
A little about me… My name is Bethany and I am 21 years old. I am going to graduate from Occidental College in Los Angeles with a degree in International Relations in approximately 38 days, not that I’m counting. Though I have loved living on the west coast for the past four years, my home is truly in the mountains. I was born and raised in Colorado Springs and am a Colorado girl through and through. I love all things outdoors from hiking to skiing to mountain biking. My other hobbies include playing sports and I had the privilege of playing volleyball in college.
Though I grew up in a Christian family (who I love very much), I really started to take my faith seriously the summer before I left for college. Over the past four-ish years my relationship with God has grown so much and I have had the opportunity to lead various bible studies and live in community with fellow believers. Though I have experienced a lot of spiritual growth in recent years, I have felt a call to missions ever since my first short-term mission trip about ten years ago. It is truly a dream come true to be further stepping into that calling through the World Race.
I’d love to invite you to follow along on this journey with me. Once I leave in January I will be posting updates and pictures here on my page. I am so grateful for any support, prayers, or donations.
