Hi everyone! Sorry it’s been a little while but we are in Eswatini now! A bit about Eswatini if you aren’t familiar with it… Eswatini is in the southern most region of Africa and is bordered by Mozambique and South Africa. It is the only remaining absolute monarchy in Africa meaning it is a kingdom that has been ruled by King Mswati lll for the past 37 years. Over the past 4 weeks (I can’t believe it’s been that long!) we’ve been able to experience and learn more about this beautiful country and culture.

So what have we been doing here? We are partnering with the Adventures in Missions (our World Race sending organization) base here in Eswatini. The base here has established 37 care points for children throughout the country. Care points serve as a place where kids of all ages can go after school to play, receive a hot meal (for some kids it is their only meal of the day), and learn about Jesus. At the care point that we are serving with there are about 80 kids from babies to high schoolers. It has been such a joy to connect with these kids whether through singing, dancing, soccer, or playing in the playground. It has really shown me that the best, and sometimes only, thing we can offer is love. We are called to pour out the love of Christ to everyone around us and that is what we have the privilege of doing each day with these sweet kiddos.

The most special part of the past few weeks was having my parents come visit for the parent vision trip. They, along with other parents, got to come to Eswatini for a few days and experience a taste of what life on the race is like. It was so sweet to finally see them again after 8 months apart! Over the course of the week we got to do ministry, worship, share testimonies, and even go on a safari! It was such a blessing to be able to invite my parents into what the Race has been for me and all the ways that I have grown throughout it. I loved that they were able to spend time with the kids at the care point as well as meet everyone from my squad! It was such a special time that I will always remember.

We have about two more weeks here in Eswatini before we are off to our final stop, South Africa! I’m savoring every minute of these last weeks and continuing to make so many memories along the way.

All my love,

B🤍
